Dr Breman Janarthanan
Breman Janarthanan is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, with a passion for managing all aspects of lung and sleep health.
Completing his medical degree at James Cook University, Queensland, Breman undertook specialist training in respiratory and sleep medicine at The Prince of Wales Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital and The Canberra Hospital. This included 6 months in lung transplant medicine and 12 months in respiratory failure and sleep medicine.
He currently holds a position as a staff specialist at The Canberra Hospital. Breman has a clinical interest in asthma and airways disease, interstitial lung disease, lung nodule work-up, as well as investigation of daytime sleepiness.
He has extensive experience in managing respiratory failure with a special interest in obesity hypoventilation syndrome and neuromuscular disease.
